How To Clear Cache and Update Google Chrome

If you are experiencing a technical issue, glitch, or loading error that is not affecting other users at your site, following the steps below to clear your browser cache and update Chrome often resolves the most common performance problems.

Clear Cache

  1. Open a new tab and copy this link into your address bar: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
  2. Set the Time range to "All Time"
  3. Check "Cookies and other site data"
  4. Check "Cached images and files"

Update Google Chrome

  1. Open a new tab and copy this link into your address bar: chrome://settings/help
  2. Wait for Google Chrome to check for updates
  3. Click on "Update" or "Relaunch"
    *Tip: If all your tabs are not automatically restored, open Google Chrome and use the keyboard shortcuts Cmd-Shift-T (Mac) or Ctrl-Shift-T (Windows) to restore your tabs.
  4. If your Chrome is already up to date, no further action is needed
