Overview
This article is intended for schools that would like to allow students to log in using printed QR codes or a set of pre-generated credentials. If your students have existing Google, Clever, or ClassLink credentials and can login via SSO, please see our recommended login methods here. If you would prefer your students to receive an email invitation, please see our article on manual rostering.
This method is suggested for students with no designated email addresses, such as students in PreK-5th grade, and may be used for 6-12th grade students, depending on your school's preferred login practices. Generating credentials in bulk allows students to login using a username and password instead of an email. They may also login using a QR code. Credentials may be accessed digitally by a staff member and/or printed.
You will need to roster your students before you can generate credentials for them. You will need System Admin access to enable this feature.
Instructions
- Login to Wayfinder as a System Administrator.
- Click on the "System Admin" tab on the left-hand side.
- Click on the "User Administration tab."
- Toggle "Allow QR Login" to "On."
