How To Set Up Skill Alignments

Wayfinder’s Core Skills encompass many common skills included in a Portrait of a Graduate, as shown in the example skill alignment chart below. You may add up to 10 of your district's/school's custom skills. For the best experience, we recommend aligning as many custom skills as possible with Wayfinder Core Skills. Students may still upload artifacts for skills that are not aligned, but no lesson usage data will be tracked.

Your custom alignment will be visible in the following places in the Wayfinder app:

  • Admin + Teacher Dashboard
  • Core Curriculum
  • Activity Library
  • Student Artifact Uploads
  • Waypoints

How To Create Skill Rubrics

Skill rubrics define what proficiency looks like for each of your district's custom skills, giving educators a consistent framework for evaluating student growth.

  4. To add a level, click Add Proficiency Level. You can have 2–10 levels.
  5. To copy your descriptors for the next custom skill, use the Copy/Paste Descriptors buttons
