Understanding the Student View

Overview

This article provides a walkthrough of the student experience in the Wayfinder Web App. 

Student access is dependent on the grade level. Rostering classrooms and students are up to the discretion of your district or school. If you choose to roster students, below is a breakdown of their permissions within Wayfinder.

PreK - 5th Grade Student Dashboard

Watch the video below for a walkthrough of the PreK - 5th grade dashboard experience. If you do not use an SSO method such as Clever or Google, you may consider requesting your System Admin to Generate Credentials for Students. Waypoints 3rd-5th Grade

Waypoints assessments for these grade levels will appear at the top of students' dashboards when they log in to Wayfinder. They will see a box with the name of the assessment and a "Start" button on the right hand side. 

Students can leave the assessment page and finish it at a later time if needed. Their Waypoints answers will be saved. 

 

6 - 12th Grade Student Dashboard

This video is applicable for the 6-12th grade student experience only. Please see the walkthrough above for the 3-5th grade student experience.

 

Waypoints 6th-12th Grade

Waypoints assessments for these grade levels will appear in students' To-Do List when they log in. This To-Do List is typically on the left side of the page, but it may appear at the top of the page on a smaller screen. Students will see the name of the assessment and a "Start" button. 

Students can leave the assessment page and finish it at a later time if needed. Their Waypoints answers will be saved. 

 

Assigning Lessons + Independent Practice Activities to Students
