What Is Waypoints?

Overview

Waypoints is a central hub of assessment + survey insights for all educators—regardless of their roles. Whether you’re interested in student learning, Core Skill progress, or school culture and climate, Waypoints will have what you need.

The Waypoints suite encompasses the following features: 

  • Summative Assessments: Administered 2-3 times per year, summative assessments help students reflect on how they use the six Core Skills in their lives and measure their skill progress across the school year.
  • Formative Assessments: Administered at regular intervals between summative assessments, formative assessments can serve as check-ins on student Core Skill progress throughout the school year.
  • DESSA Assessments: Import DESSA 2 and DESSA-MSE SSR assessment data into Waypoints.
  • Student Success Framework Insights: Our Portrait of a Graduate add-on allows schools to track skill progress with student learning artifacts, portfolios, and skill proficiency rubrics.
  • Core Skills Screener: When Support Tiers are added to our summative assessments, educators can measure skill progress over time and identify which level of support (Tier 1, 2, or 3) students may need. 
  • Custom Formative Assessments: Counselors and other support staff can create custom formative assessments to progress monitor student responses to interventions
  • Exit Tickets: Exit tickets are available at the end of Core Lessons to support instructional planning and help educators identify what students learned + potential misconceptions.
  • Climate Surveys: School administrators can administer school culture and climate surveys to staff + students to understand how they feel about the school community.
  • College + Career Insights: Through an integration with Roadtrip Nation, students can engage in new lessons and a virtual road trip to explore college majors and career pathways.
